Hi LINKS,
As we begin to wind the semester down, your normal load will be a bit lighter. Right now I want you to focus on your journals, weekly attendance sheets and most importantly- your final projects!
Please be thinking ahead with your busy schedules in the next few weeks and PLAN for when you will work on your LINKS work. I am giving you almost 4 weeks to do your project. There are no excuses for not having it done on time.
I was asked if things can be turned in early once you complete them and my answer is Yes! If you complete it and feel comfortable that it is done well, turn it in! I plan to do all of my grading that last week of school but may be able to sneak a few grades in early.
Please come and see me or email me if you have any other questions about your final project. No question is a bad question.
This coming week we will be discussing vaccinations and autism. This topic is a big hot topic, you guys. You can turn on the news and hear about it on a regular basis. Articles fly around about it on Facebook all.the.time. It's a big, scary, heated argument. Feelings often get hurt on both sides and a lot of people are in the middle wondering where to run!
I tell you this because I want you to be sensitive. I want you to come to class with an open mind, willing to listen to both sides. I want you to come away from this discussion a little bit informed, a lot confused and with an open and understanding heart for both sides. Be open with your parents with what you have learned and
