This week in class we came up with ideas about what to do for Autism Awareness Month. You all had some GREAT ideas (in the words of one of our peers!). Please fill out the survey below. This is part of your homework! Also, I have inquired with the office about our class decorating the display case during the week as well. If you like this idea, please add it to the other ideas that you would like me to consider.
I really love the open conversations that we have been able to have in class lately. I very much appreciate your questions and our ability as a class to go deeper into these subjects. Being with you all and being able to experience this class with you makes me so happy. You all have grown so much and do amazing things for our peers. Thank you for all that you do!
Finally, I would like to announce our Star LINK of the Month! I most certainly agree with whoever wrote that everyone should be the Star of the Month! You all are so fabulous and it is always so difficult to choose each month! But this month the award goes to....
Marissa!
Congratulations, Marissa! I look forward to bringing you fried chicken for lunch! (Just kidding, you may choose whatever you like!)
Please stay tuned to read Marissa's blog post next week!
Finally, please check out the Stop the R-Word Campaign website! Watch a few videos and comment on the blog to tell me what you found interesting, powerful or moving. I really would like to use this in our Autism Awareness Week if you guys are okay with that!
Have a great rest of your week!
