Welcome to another weekend! I hope this week was enjoyable for you all. I feel as though we are getting more and more into the swing of things! I also see all of you relaxing more with our peers and are finding a groove with your duties. I love it all!
One of our peers who has been having a very difficult time seems to be on the upswing. What a great thing to see! I hope you all have been enjoying his smiles and laughs as they are becoming much more frequent! It definitely has helped to make this a better week for me!
We spoke a lot about the basics of autism this week during our meeting time. I loved how you all found connections to our peers once we watched the video about what parents need to look for if they think their child may have autism. This week for your homework you will need to make a few more connections. Please watch the following video then check the "Homework" tab to answer questions in a Google Doc this week.
To finish, I have something that I want you to be thinking about before our meeting on Wednesday. We will pick our first "Star LINK of the Month" this Wednesday. So I want you to be thinking about the conversations that we have had in class. I also want you to keep your eyes open when you are around the building.
Which LINK will it be this month? You all will be voting as well as other teachers, parapros and myself. I will announce at the end of the hour on Wednesday (Please remind me!!). Your second piece of homework has to do with all of this. I spotlight the Star LINK on the blog, so you all need to make blog posts! (And be prepared for a picture
Have a wonderful weekend! I look forward to seeing you all on Monday and in class on Wednesday (where we will start to look at all of the different therapies for kids with autism!)
