Merry Christmas, LINKS!
I hope you are able to enjoy your time off of school for these two weeks. You deserve it! I am so proud of all of you and the hard work that you have been doing this semester. It is so sad to think that when we get back to school you will only have two weeks left! Let's make the most of those weeks, okay?
For your homework over break, you have a few things to do for me.
First, you need to work on your final project! I am missing a few student's choices for the project:
Maddie
Matt
Colton
Leah
Allison
Someone turned in a "no name" paper, so let me know if that was you. Otherwise you need to email me your choices over break (or give them to me tomorrow!)
Just a reminder that when we get back to school, I will need to see the progress that you have made on your projects. Whether that means a "rough draft" of a poster or bookmark, or share with me through Google Docs the rough draft of one of your papers or letters.
When you share your progress with me through Google Docs you must title your assignment with the addition of "Draft". Once you are ready for me to grade that portion of your assignment, you then need to change the title to "Final". I will not grade the assignment until I see that.
All of your final project pieces are due to me by January 15, which is the final day of the semester. I will not be able to change your grades after that week.
That brings me to your second assignment over the break: check PowerSchool! Many of you have some random zeros that could be turned into 1/2 grades. Something is better than nothing!
If you see a zero that means that it was not shared with me. If you did the assignment, I am able to check through Google Docs and would be willing to give you full credit if I can see that you completed it on time. Otherwise, once you get it in to me I will give you your 1/2 credit. You may email it to me if your Google Docs will not let you share, but I cannot check when the assignment was actually completed that way, so you will only get 1/2 credit.
Your final assignment: Mr. Fales shared this awesome ESPN article with me and I swear if it had been a video I would have cried. It is the sweetest thing. Please follow this link and read the article. Then make a blog comment post about the article.
Mr. Fales' comment to me was that this is the type of environment LINKS can accomplish at a school. Do you agree? I sure hope so, and honestly, I see things like this already starting to get so much better here since LINKS has begun. You all should be proud.
Have a very Merry Christmas! Looking forward to seeing you all in 2014!
