Dear LINKS,
Thank you all for such a wonderful semester! It seems like yesterday when we were just beginning! I am so proud of you and the work that you have done. I am excited about the friendships that you have created. I am ecstatic about the things you have taught our boys. You have forever impacted their lives and I am so grateful!
Know that you will always have a room and teacher to come back and visit. I hold each of my LINKS dear to my heart and hate letting you go. The boys will definitely feel the same way. Next year will be an adjustment without you at the Junior High!
A slight pause with the mushy stuff. Your final projects are due to me by next week Wednesday. If you would like to turn anything in earlier, you are more than welcome! I would love to start grading as early as possible! You MUST turn every part of your project in to me before the end of the day on Wednesday. You will get marked off if I get parts that night or the next day.
This final project can make or break your grade. Those of you who are not doing so hot in my class right now will really appreciate the extra points this project will give you!
Quick list of reminders to you:
1) Check in with your teachers about missing 4th, 5th and 6th hour for our LINKS picnic
2) Don't forget to turn in your permission slips or you may not go with us!
3) Turn your projects in by Wednesday! Title any Google Docs with "Final" when you share them with me.
Final thought: Just because you will no longer be in my class does not mean you will stop caring for kids with autism. There are many ways to care for kids with autism. You can spend time with them, teach them, be their friend, and stay informed! Continuing to learn about autism is a huge way to "care" about your friends and peers. If you ever are looking for something new to read, just email me or check this blog. I'm always trying to keep it updated with the latest information.
